Villa Mathios
Villa Mathios is a villa with a private pool just by the seaside. It is located only 50 meters from Sfakaki beach and the spacious veranda offers a panoramic sea view. On walking distance from the villa, the guest will find tavernas, chemists, hairdressers, bakery, supermarkets, petrol station, and Doctor.
Villa Mathios is built on one level. As you enter it you will see the living room with a fireplace, comfortable lounge couches, and an open plan dining room with a dining table and chairs that leads to the kitchen, then to the 2 bedrooms with a common bathroom. Both bedrooms have two twin beds (that become a double bed when joined). The kitchen is fully equipped with all kitchen utensils, fridge, dishwasher, microwave. There is also a modern washing machine. In the living room, there is a flat LCD TV.
The interior decoration is modern and bright offering the guests great comfort and modern facilities.
There are individual operated A/C units throughout, private parking, and a barbecue.
The swimming pool is 5 by 9 meters and it will offer you hours of relaxation and fun for you and your family.
Location
The villa is located in the absolute centre of Crete island, so it is an ideal starting point for all your excursions and all your visits to Crete’s most interesting sites. Sfakaki is only 10 kilometres from Rethymno and 73 kilometres from either Heraklion and Chania airport.
A car is not essential as there is a bus stop right in front and is at a walking distance to all amenities of Sfakaki area. The beautiful beach is also in a walking distance from the villa, just 50 metres away. In just a few minutes walk you can visit the byzantine Arsani monastery that helped the establishment of many schools during the Turkish occupation and continued up to the 19th century. Also in a few minutes, by car, you can visit the famous 5th century Arkadi monastery, it’s a great museum and enjoys the serene atmosphere inside its fortress walls.
The Area
Sfakaki is a sandy and well-organised beach, only 10km east of Rethymno town, on the north coast of the island of Crete, close to all amenities at some points with Umbrellas and sunbeds, showers, water sports, cafes, beach bars, restaurants, hotels, villas and mini markets, ATM cashpoint machines. The location is ideal for your holidays as you can combine your holidays by the sea and at the same time explore and visit the rest of the island by going on daily organized excursions or sightseeing on your own time.
